About Zahamena National Park
The landscape is very mountainous, ranging from 254–1560 metres. Zahamena National Park is particularly famous for itsbirdlife— it hosts 112 bird species, 67 of which are endemic to Madagascar. The park is a habitat for the threatened Madagascan serpent eagle and the critically endangered indri (one of the largest living lemur species).
