About Yacapana National Park
With an area of 320,000 ha, Yacapana National Park is in the southwest sector of the Guyana Shield in the west central part of Amazonas state, between the Orinoco in the south and west, north and Ventuari Yagua pipe to the west. Includes Cerro Yacapana, Pantepuy typical plateau of Roraima formation.Park bordering the north, the river Ventuari the south and west, the Orinoco River and east Yagua. Flows originating from inside the pipe Maraya, which flows into the streams of Santa Barbara, is the most important. Of the indigenous groups, the National Park area is populated by Yapacana Piaroa. The most important river communities Maraya, Santa Barbara, Macuruco, Canaripó and Yagua.
