About Wootton Bridge
The village itself lies at the head of the tidal Wootton Creek and over the last 100 years it has grown from a tiny hamlet of 70 people to almost 4,000. The area is surrounded by several areas of special scientific interest in which a wide variety of wildlife can be seen. In 1969, the village was home to the first major Isle of Wight pop concert; around 150,000 people came to see Bob Dylan.
