About Ullensvang
The current municipality was formed in 2020, whenOdda,UllensvangandJondalwere merged. AlsoRøldalused to be an independent municipality. The municipal centre is the town of Odda. Other important settlements include Jondal, Kinsarvik and Lofthus, the two latter in former Ullensvang. There is a population of 10,000 on3,230km(1,250sqmi)(3.7/km²). The names Odda and Ullensvang come from the farms by which the respective first church there was built. The municipality borders to Hardangerfjorden and its arm Utnefjorden in the north. Sørfjorden stretches southward to Odda as another arm.
