About Ugep
Ugep is a town made up of Yakurr people of Cross River State. Ugep houses the Federal Polytechnic, Ugep, Cross River State, is one of the six newly established Polytechnics by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Our mandate is to produce graduates (National Diploma/ Higher National Diploma) that can compete favorably in the world job market with respect to Technology, Science and Management. Getting into Ugep can be either by flight or road depending on the distance from which the traveller is coming from. Though situated in the tropical zone, a higher altitude means that ugep State has a near temperate climate with an average temperature of between 13 and 22 °C. Harmattan winds cause the coldest weather between December and February. The warmest temperatures usually occur in the dry season
