About Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve
It covers an area of approximately 33,000 km² (12,741 sq mi), which is larger than Belgium. Łutselk'e, a community of 300 people (formerly called Snowdrift), is the access point to the park reserve. It is the epicentre of Northern Dënesųłiné culture and the headquarters-in-waiting of Thaidene Nëné National Park Reserve. The town is proudly traditional, with the Chipewyan language widely spoken and traditional hunting, trapping and fishing serving as the economic mainstay.
