Italian comune
About Senigallia
A fishing port town of 45,000 people (2017) in theMarcheregion, it has a well preserved castle calledLa Rocca. Senigallia is also known for the beach. The sand is very special being uncommonly soft. For this reason, Senigallia is also known as "Spiaggia di Velluto" ("Velvet beach"). On the beach you can also have a drink and enjoy music at the"La Rotonda". "Take a stroll like an Italian"- at around sunset (when it is cooler) just after, or right before dinner, every Italian heads to "Il Corso" a main street in the town to say hi to all their neighbors, catch up on gossip, and meet friends.
