Situated in the Litoral mountain range, Serralada de Marina Park, with a surface area of 2,086 hectares (5,150 acres), is bordered to the east by the Besòs river and the Serra de Collserola Natural Park and to the north-east byParc de la Serralada Litoral. It belongs to the counties of El Barcelonès, El Vallès Oriental, El Maresme and El Vallès Occidental. It is characterised by gentle slopes, a pleasant climate and a Mediterranean forest of oak and pine trees. The Park Consortium covers an area of 3,032 hectares (7,490 acres). Geographically, the area corresponds to the southern end of the Marina mountain range, in the sector known as the Sierra de la Conreria.
