Oro-Ago is a settlement in the south-eastern part of Kwara State of Nigeria. It is about 110 km to Ilorin the State Capital. Oro-Ago District is located in Ifelodun Local Government Area. The district is a conglomeration of 7 dispersed settlements: Omugo, Okedaba, Ajegunle, Owa, Irabon, Oro-Ago and Oyate. The population is about 50,000 people. They speak Igbomina dialect. Most of the inhabitants work as subsistence farmers, weavers or hunters. Oro –Ago Dynasty was co-found in 50 AD by one of the 7 children of Oduduwa by the name Alaketu or Ajagun and Obobo or Onijakere who was believed to have been staying in the place before.
