About Numan
Numan, also known as Nomwe (meaning "hill"), is a city and municipality in the state of Adamawa, Nigeria. It is a port city at the confluence of the Benue and Gongora rivers. The main ethnic group in the city of is Bwatier (Bachama), which has a reputation for being an undefeated warrior throughout history. Bwatier is headed by a prestigious king known as Hamabachama, the Supreme Leader of the Kingdom of Bachama. His Voti (palace) is in Numan, the royal palace, and Ramurde has another palace for the king, the spiritual or ancestral home of the Bwatier people. The name of the current king is Dr. Omun.
