About Mount Jiuhua
Jiuhua Mountain is1,342m (4,403ft)high, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and is associated with the Dizang Bodhisattva. During the Buddhist golden era in China, more than 200 temples graced the slopes of this mountain. However, only 50 temples remain. A national civilized scenic tourist area, one of the first national natural and cultural dual heritage sites, and a world geopark, with an area of174km(67sqmi), and consists of 11 scenic spots. Jiuhua Mountain has a deep cultural heritage. Since the Jin and Tang dynasties, there have been many celebrities, leaving behind many poems, rhymes, songs and paintings.
