About Migjorn de Mallorca
Migjorn is the southernmost region on Mallorca. The name means "midday" in Catalan and refers to the southerly position of the sun at noon in the same poetic way that southern regions of France and Italy are calledle Midi/il Mezzogiorno. It has numerous beaches and bays that invite you to swim and sunbathe so many tourist centres have developed in the region. However, the main source of income for the residents of Migjorn comes from agriculture. There are even still fishermen, but here, as in many other places, the Mediterranean is very empty of fish.
