About Limoncocha
The reserve protects theLimoncocha lagoon, and a smaller one called Yanacocha, wetlands, swamp areas, and tropical rain forests that surround the lagoon. There is a large concentration of Fauna in and around the reserve. The over 347 species of bird that live in the reserve make bird watching very popular attraction. Limoncocha also holds a large number of tortoises and a diverse population of fish. The village itself provides basic accommodation, a couple of restaurants and mini-tiendas.
