About Kerkouane
A Phoenician city, Kerkouane was probably abandoned in 3rd century BCE and, therefore, largely ignored by the Romans. As such it is probably the only example of its kind to survive. Noted for its clear demonstration of town planning techniques. The town and its necropolis are aUNESCO World Heritage Listsite.
