Itu is a Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, located in the southeast of Nigeria. The landmass of the Local Government Area is roughly 606 km². Odukpani in Cross River State and Arochukwu in Abia State border it on the north and north-east, Ibiono Ibom and Ikono Local Government Areas on the west, and Uyo and Uruan Local Government Areas on the south and southeast, respectively.
