About Itsamia

Itsamia is a small and isolated village. Locals shop in Fomboni. Most travellers come to Itsamia to see the turtles nesting at the beach during the night. The chances to see turtles are very high all year round, although the best time is May to July when over 40 turtles arrive every night on the beach. Despite its charms Itsamia is still very unknown and remote. There are no shops or restaurants. It is a perfect place to just lay down and relax.
