About Ice cream
The history of the early ice cream and other frozen desserts goes back thousands of years and may have been invented inancient PersiaorChina. Blocks of ice would be carved out from mountains during the winter and stored underground during the summer. This ice would be combined with syrups and milk to create various chilled desserts. However, due to the laborious process and cost involved, these early kinds of ice cream were only consumed by the aristocratic class. Ice cream started to become a mass product in the 19th century when refrigeration technology made making ice more affordable.
