About Hunter Wetlands National Park
The park includes riverside areas in the Hunter River estuary, both on the southern and northern arms. The west coast of Fullerton Cove is also part of the park. The Kooragang Swamp Reserve and the Hexham Swamp Reserve, former state reserves, went to the national park on the northern outskirts of Newcastle, as well as on Stockton Sand Split and part of Ash Iceland.
