About Huangshi
On May 15th, 1949, China People's Liberation Army liberated Huang Zhen. On May 15th, 1949, Daye was liberated. On June 9, 1949, the Daye County People's Government was established. On June 12th of the same year, the Office of the Special Commissioner of the Lime Kiln Industrial Zone of Wuhan Military Control Committee was established. Soon, with the approval of the Provisional People's Government of Central Plains, Hubei Daye Special Zone Office was set up, directly under the leadership of the Provisional People's Government of Central Plains. On September 29th of the same year, the People's Government of Daye Industrial and Mining Special Zone in Hubei Province was established in Huang Zhen, Tielu and other townships.
