About Haapavesi
Haapavesi is on the northern shore of Lake Haapajärvi - however it's not the same (eponymous) lake which the town ofHaapajärvi(some 60 km south as the crow flies) borders. It's an industrial town with a Valio cheese factory, the Kantele peat power plant and one of the two highest masts in Finland.
