Gramado is a municipality and a small tourist town, southeast ofCaxias do Suland east ofNova Petrópolis, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in the mountainous region ofSerra Gaúcha. Most of the population of Gramado is of German or Italian descent. Gramado is one of the cities on the scenic route known asRota Romântica(Romantic Route).
