About Golf in Argentina
The top tournament is the Campeonato Abierto, the Argentine Open, first played in 1905 and hosted by Nordelta GC in Buenos Aires. Until 2023 it was part of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, but from 2024 it's merged with the Canada Open to create PGA Tour Americas, with the Latin American matches played Feb-May. This is a qualifying event for Kom Ferry Tour, the developmental circuit for pro golfers who haven't yet made the grade for the US PGA Tour. Most courses are private, but travel organizations may be able to book you a round.
