Glenholme Nature Reserve Travel Guide — Things to Do, Food & Hotels
Nature reserve in western South Africa
About Glenholme Nature Reserve
Glenholme Nature Reserve was re-introduced to tourists with project collaboration between WESSA Highway Branch and Kloof Conservancy. You can see a very wide variety of biomes peculiar to this region on a relatively small area which is easily accessible. The reserve comprises grassland, scarp and swamp forest. The stream that plunges over a waterfall and into the gorge forms one of the headwaters of the Umbilo River. There is also a pond which is inhabited by a few fish species and some water birds. You can also view a rare swamp forest from elevated boardwalks.
