About Fuding
The region mostly speaks Eastern Min natively. There is a Puxian Min (Hinghwa) speaking community in Fuding. Fuding City is a county-level city in Fujian Province, administered by Ningde City. In the fourth year of Qianlong (1739), Wanghai, Yuren, Yaoxiang and Lianjiang of Quanru Township were separated from Xiapu County to establish Fuding County. In 1995, Fuding County was abolished and the city was established. Fuding is located on the southeast coast and has a mid-subtropical maritime monsoon climate. The climate is mild, with moderate rainfall, no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer.
