Eastern Idaho Travel Guide — Things to Do, Food & Hotels
geographic region of Idaho, United States
About Eastern Idaho
This area is characterized by the seemingly interminable flat expanse of the Snake River Plain to the west and the gradual incipient rugged terrain of the Rockies to the east that will reach a crescendo in the Grand Tetons as you cross the Wyoming state line, with a pocket of forest in the northeast corner. The region was largely settled by Mormons who persevered against the harsh climate and rigors of untamed land to create their agricultural and religious communities.
