Daltonganj is a beautiful town of Jharkhand state. The name was changed to Medininagar in 2004 by the state government of Jharkhand, after Raja Medini Ray of the Chero dynasty.It has an aerodrome at Chiyanki which is 6km from town bus stand. This town is situated at a corner of Jharkhand state and connects 6 States of India. All the major cities of these 6 states are connected by Daltonganj Railway Station or by Bus . This town is connected with Ranchi, Patna, Varanasi, Delhi and Raipur
