Dallas, Georgia is located west of Atlanta in Paulding County. It is a semi-rural town without much night life or excitement, though not without growing pains. As a suburb of Atlanta, it is predominantly a family community with above average schools for the Metro Atlanta area and somewhat lower crime and housing costs. It has a bit of a story to tell. After prospectors chased the Creek and Cherokees off during the Georgia Gold Rush during the 1830s, the Civil War came along with the Battles of Dallas, Pickett's Mill, and New Hope Church in 1864 and laid things to waste.
