About Bombinhas
Bombinhas is a peninsula, almost an island, which juts 12 kilometers into the sea, including 22 beaches and four islands. Bombinhas is part of the surroundings of the Marine Biological Reserve of Arvoredo, which has an area of 17,800 hectares formed by the islands of Arvoredo, Galés and Deserta. The first beach entering the municipality is Bombas, good for surfing, diving, fishing and walks on the trails of Parque da Galheta. Bombinhas beach, with its calm waters and white sand, is an invitation for pleasant hours with the family and for swimming and diving. Retiro dos Padres is an almost private beach where tranquility reigns, with waves that are almost always calm and a history of rescue of English shipwrecked by the local population that gave rise to the name Praia dos Ingleses.
