About Boggabilla
The name of the village comes from the Kamilaroi indigenous language and means 'full of creeks'. The rich fertile soil is suitable for farming cotton, broadacre crops, sheep, and beef cattle. Many locals also commute to nearby Goondiwindi for work. The Wobbly Boot Hotel is commemorated in a song of the same name by the Australian Country Music legend Stan Coster. Boggabilla is in the Moree Plains Shire Local Government Area.
