About Berdyansk
Berdyansk was founded in 1827, when the construction of a pier - the future Berdyansk port - began on the coast of the Berdyansk Bay, which developed so quickly that already in 1835 Berdyansk received the status of a city. In the future, the city developed as an industrial, commercial and merchant center. And at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, the healing properties of the mud of the Berdyansk estuary were discovered and the sanatorium-resort sphere began to develop in Berdyansk. In local sanatoriums, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, gynecological, and respiratory organs of non-tuberculous origin are treated.
