Bantayan is divided into three municipalities: Most of the accommodations and beaches are in Santa Fe municipality. The ferries from Cebu also arrive there. Travelers sometime mistaken 'Bantayan' with 'Daan Bantayan' area in the inland of Cebu island, east of the Bantayan island.
