Bandingilo National Park Travel Guide — Things to Do, Food & Hotels
national park in South Sudan
About Bandingilo National Park
The10,000-square-kilometre (3,900sqmi)park was established in 1992, although it remained a park in name only until 2022, when an agreement was signed between the South Sudanese government and the African Parks (AP) organisation whereby AP would develop and manage the park along withBoma National Parkto the northeast. As of 2023, the park has no tourist infrastructure. However, despite decades of conflict in South Sudan, its wildlife has been surprisingly well preserved. Along with Boma National Park, Bandingilo hosts one of the largest land mammal migrations in Africa – even larger than that of the Serengeti wildebeest – as the antelope move between the parks with the seasons.
